Edition 2025 — LIMINALITIES
The premiere edition of LIMINALITIES took place in April 2025 at Kampnagel, immediately establishing the festival as a significant international platform for performing arts with a focus on Trans* visibility. Four days of performances, theatre, visual arts, and club programming brought together artists from multiple continents and attracted a diverse audience to the Hamburg-Nord district.
The 2025 premiere edition instantly established LIMINALITIES as a vital international platform for performing arts focused on Trans* visibility. At Kampnagel in Hamburg's Winterhude district, international artists presented performances, theatre, visual arts, and club events.
The festival's interdisciplinary concept and explicit political stance resonated widely – both within Hamburg's queer community and in the international performing arts discourse. The success of the first edition paved the way for the second in 2026.
