Overview
The 2025 Liberation Ceremony marked a historic anniversary with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp. As every year, an ecumenical service, Russian Orthodox liturgy, Jewish memorial hour, and commemoration at the former crematorium characterized the day. The central ceremony on the former roll-call area with wreath-laying at the International Memorial, as well as the Encounter Day in the Max Mannheimer House, were entirely dedicated to remembrance and warning – of particular significance given the advanced age of the last survivors.
