Lange Nacht der Literatur 2025 – Review

In early September 2025, the Lange Nacht der Literatur in Hamburg once again took place in its decentralized city format. 36 independent bookstores, antiquarian bookshops, and cultural centers opened their doors between 2 PM and midnight. Invited authors read from their latest works, participated in discussions, and presented book premieres.

The audience took advantage of the opportunity for a literary city hop – from bookstore to bookstore, with reading breaks for beer and wine, and changing Hamburg neighborhoods. The organizers announced the continuation in the same format for the 2026 season, supplemented by the "Vom Lesen zum Tanzen" closing event.
