Overview

The Lange KunstNacht Bad Wimpfen 2025 took place in May 2025 from 5 PM to midnight throughout the entire medieval old town. The local newspaper Heilbronner Stimme praised the format as a 'picturesque backdrop for a colorful night of art'. Exhibitions, readings, sketches, dance, high-wire artists, and a fire-dance show were spread across shops, courtyards, and squares. The residents' chairs in front of their doors, the light installations on half-timbered facades, and the freely accessible Blue Tower made the night one of the particularly intimately magical events in the southern German cultural calendar.

2025 — Bad Wimpfen as an Open Art Gallery

The 2025 edition continued the established elements: seven hours of program spread throughout the old town, free admission, Blue Tower freely accessible. The local press highlighted the picturesque backdrop of the medieval town and described the format as a 'colorful night of art'. Several hundred participants — artists, dancers, actors, musicians, residents, business owners — shaped the program. The Wimpfen tradition of chairs placed outside doors, the personal encounters in courtyards and private spaces, contributed to the event's charm.
