Edition 2025 — Advent Gathering Lahr

From November 28th to December 23rd, 2025, the Lahr Business Association e.V. opened the Advent Gathering at Schlossplatz. For four weeks, mulled wine stalls, tarte flambée, the historic carousel of the Hahn family, and Saturday visits from St. Nicholas characterized the Advent season. On the first Advent weekend, the Christmas Market at Museumsplatz took place concurrently — well-attended, with a warm atmosphere and long queues at the crêpe stand.

Advent Gathering Lahr 2025

The 2025 Advent Gathering once again confirmed its established position as the pre-Christmas heart of Lahr's city center. From November 28th to December 23rd, the stalls at Schlossplatz were open daily — weekdays from 11 am to 7 pm, Saturdays until 8 pm, and Sunday afternoons. Mulled wine and tarte flambée, bratwurst and crêpes, sweets, and small gift items — the usual offerings were well-frequented again.

The highlight for the little ones was once again the historic carousel by the Hahn family and the Saturday visits from St. Nicholas. On the first Advent weekend, the Christmas Market at Museumsplatz complemented the program with regional crafts. The Lahr Business Association thus successfully implemented its three-part Advent strategy — Advent Gathering, Christmas Market, Advent Stroll — again in 2025.
