Edition 2025 — Kulturvolk Summer Fest
The previous year's edition in 2025 fell within the anniversary year of Freie Volksbühne Berlin (135 years). The summer festival was consequently staged more elaborately than usual, with an expanded stage program and a special presentation on the association's history. The three opera houses, the Berliner Symphoniker, and all regular partners were again represented.
In the 135th anniversary year of Freie Volksbühne Berlin in 2025, the summer festival was combined with a major historical exhibition in the Piscator Saal. The exhibition highlighted the association's history since 1890 and its role in democratizing cultural access in Berlin.
The festival attracted a significantly larger audience than in normal years; several events overlapped concurrently. The garden at Ruhrstraße was fully occupied for the entire duration of the event.
