Kulturkreis Salzgitter – Theatre Performance 2026

Theatre in the Heart of Salzgitter

Kulturkreis Salzgitter e.V. is one of the most important cultural players in the Lower Saxony industrial city. For many years, the association has organised a high-quality programme of guest theatre performances, concerts, readings, and exhibitions, introducing the people of Salzgitter, far beyond the city limits, to the professional independent theatre scene. The Aula am Fredenberg in the Lebenstedt district serves as the central venue and, with its appealing acoustics and stage setup, offers a fitting setting for sophisticated productions.

The 2026 Performance: Einszweiundzwanzig vor dem Ende

In March 2026, Kulturkreis presents the play “Einszweiundzwanzig vor dem Ende”, a guest production that is likely to captivate the audience with its thoughtful and profound subject matter. The performance exemplifies the association's programmatic orientation: bringing current, socially relevant theatre work to Salzgitter, beyond the major state and city theatres.

An Association with Tradition

Kulturkreis Salzgitter sees itself as a mediator between art and society. Through their volunteer commitment, the association members enable a programme that, in its diversity, is by no means a given for a city like Salzgitter. Those seeking theatre off the beaten track and valuing an intense, often chamber-play-like atmosphere will find what they are looking for at Kulturkreis events.

Getting There and Atmosphere

The Aula am Fredenberg is easily accessible by public transport and car. In the vicinity of the event, there is an opportunity to explore the cityscape of Salzgitter-Lebenstedt or to stop by one of the surrounding gastronomic establishments before the performance. The evening promises a concentrated theatre experience in a manageable, personal setting.
