The premiere of the Kult(ur)Woche Barlt in 2025 was an experimental format with an open outcome: What would happen if a small community turned itself into a stage for several days? The answer was clear — concerts, performances, art events, and a well-attended closing evening showed that the volunteer-driven cultural week works.
The highlight was the anthem specially composed for Barlt by Uli von Welt and Dierk Büsch, performed together with residents. The success directly led to the decision to continue the Kult(ur)Woche in 2026 — this time over ten days and with an expanded call for participation.
