Christmas magic in the beer city

The Kulmbach Christmas Market takes place every year on the first Advent weekend on the market square of the Upper Franconian town of Kulmbach in the Kulmbach district (Bavaria). In front of the magnificent Rococo facade of the town hall, around the Luitpoldbrunnen fountain and the large Christmas tree, the square transforms into a festive winter wonderland with sparkling lights, fragrant delicacies, and lovingly designed stalls.

Arts and crafts and enjoyment

The stalls offer numerous gift ideas, handmade Christmas decorations, and unique artisanal pieces. Culinary delights are dominated by mulled wine – fitting for the beer city of Kulmbach – along with festive treats. Open fires provide warmth and create a particularly cozy atmosphere.

Program for the whole family

The Kulmbach Christkind visits the market together with its angels. For children, there is face painting and Christmas stories from "storytellers"; unplugged performances by various groups and the 1st Kulmbach Show Dance Team provide entertainment around the open fires. Admission is free.
