The 21st Culinary Wine Hike Oberrotweil took place in 2025 in its usual format on the second weekend of July. Circular route through the vineyards, 7 stations with regional cuisine and Oberrotweil wines, summer evening with dancing at the starting point — one of the most popular wine hiking experiences in the Kaiserstuhl.

Over two decades, the Culinary Wine Hike Oberrotweil has established itself as one of the most distinguished wine hiking formats in the Kaiserstuhl. The combination of physical activity (circular route), enjoyable multi-stage culinary experiences (7 stations), and summer atmosphere (live music in the evening) resonates with an audience that wants more than just a wine tasting.

In 2025, too, the hike sold out quickly in advance. Visitors traveled from Freiburg, the Markgräflerland, Alsace, and northwestern Switzerland. The combination of a Kaiserstuhl vineyard hike and a multi-stage culinary journey is a recipe for success that has inspired other winegrowers' associations in the region — many copy the format, but Oberrotweil retains the added value of its original editions.
