Overview
The 2025 edition of the KRAY OR DIE Youth Culture Festival took place on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2 PM to 10 PM in the Volksgarten Essen-Kray. As usual, the organizers were the Julius-Leber-Haus of AWO Essen, several Kray youth centers, and the Falken district of Essen. The sporting focus was on the skate, BMX, and scooter contest for children and young people aged 8 and up, judged by professional judges from the skatedeluxe and odyssey brands. The award ceremony took place at 8 PM.
Musically, DJ Mr. Disco Delight and the duo Jonas & Noah were announced; live performances included regional bands BLUEJEANS and RETOWN. The headliner was the artist VITA, who, according to the organizers, performs "with clear messages against injustice." The marketplace brought together stands from local youth associations and streetwork teams. Free admission, supported by the Essen district representation, the Allbau Foundation, and Stadtwerke Essen.
