The 2025 edition of the Krass Kultur Crash Festival took place in March across several Hamburg venues. Performances, literature, music, and discourse formats from various cultural circles characterized the two weeks — a recurring affirmation of the festival's transcultural profile since 2012.

Looking Back at 2025

In 2025, the festival was again spread across Kampnagel as the main venue, along with other Hamburg locations. International artists from literature, performance, music, and sociology participated, with the program addressing socio-political issues from a transcultural perspective. Kunstwerk e.V. and Kampnagel ensured production, and the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Media provided institutional support.

In the Hamburg-Nord district, Winterhude or Barmbek-Süd neighborhoods, Kampnagel has been one of the most important venues for independent theater and performance work in Germany for decades — the Krass Festival has utilized this infrastructure since its first edition in 2012.
