Overview

The premiere edition of the Kornwestheimer Musiknacht Open took place in the summer of 2025, following the renaming of the previous series "Kornwestheim rockt" and a change of organizer. With five free Tuesday concerts on the market square, the new format established its identity — cover and tribute bands of various genres under the umbrella of Markus Wahsner & Marcel Demirok Events GbR.

Premiere 2025 — The Restart

The 2025 edition was the restart of a long-standing tradition under a new name and with a new organizer. Following the public tender process compliant with competition law, the city of Kornwestheim chose Markus Wahsner & Marcel Demirok Events GbR — thus gaining event professionals with experience in the southern German live music scene.

The five concerts in 2025 attracted thousands of visitors from Kornwestheim, Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart-Stammheim, and the surrounding region. The success directly secured its repetition in 2026 — a sign that the concept, even after the renaming and change of organizer, resonated with the audience. Mayor Martina Koch-Haßdenteufel and Lord Mayor Nico Lauxmann emphasized the series' value for the district's identity and summer life in Kornwestheim.
