Overview

In 2025, the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising again celebrated its patronal festival in honor of Saint Corbinian on Freising's Domberg hill. The program of the Korbinians pilgrimage included a torchlight procession, celebratory Masses with Cardinal Reinhard Marx, the Korbiniansmarkt, and the Partners' Evening.

The Korbinians pilgrimage 2025 once again gathered thousands of believers on Freising's Domberg hill. With the torchlight procession and the shrine of Saint Corbinian, an atmospheric procession moved up to the Cathedral of Our Lady, where the celebratory Masses with Cardinal Reinhard Marx were held.

In parallel, the city of Freising organized the Korbiniansmarkt around the Roider-Jackl fountain, featuring arts and crafts, gifts, and regional specialties from the partner cities. The cultural Partners' Evening brought together guests from Freising's European partner cities. The Korbiniansfest once again confirmed its significance as a religious and community highlight in the late autumn of the cathedral city.
