In 2025, the concert series at Kulturkirche Weißensee once again attracted classical music enthusiasts from the Sömmerda district and the wider region. Several concerts between May and August took advantage of the exceptional acoustics of the Romanesque castle church — including a concert as part of the MDR Musiksommer, which makes the Kulturkirche one of the festival's valued venues.

The 2025 season confirmed Kulturkirche Weißensee as an important venue for classical music in northern Thuringia. The concert series attracted classical music fans from the region and tourists from Central Germany. The combination of Romanesque architecture, outstanding acoustics, and a carefully curated programme made the concerts a highlight of the cultural summer programme in the Sömmerda district. The MDR Musiksommer once again chose Weißensee as a venue — a tradition that enhances the Kulturkirche's profile.
