Overview

In 2025, the town of Königsberg in Bavaria also invited guests to its traditional Bürgerfest on an August Sunday. The market square and old town were car-free, with club stalls and live music characterizing the afternoon and evening in the historic town centre.

The 2025 Bürgerfest continued the tradition maintained for years. Clubs, restaurateurs, and the trade association organized the Sunday afternoon and evening in the cobblestone alleys around the market square and the late Gothic St. Mary's Church.

With Franconian cuisine, regional wine, and a manageable but harmonious music program, it was confirmed once again what makes the strength of Königsberg's festival culture: not a grand spectacle, but a festival where the town celebrates itself and its history – and allows guests to participate.
