2025 Review — Edition Cancelled
The 2025 Cologne Autumn Volksfest was scheduled to take place in late October / early November on the Deutzer Werft, following the traditional schedule. However, the edition was cancelled during 2025 — the reasons lie in the legal disputes over the use of the Deutzer Werft for Volksfeste, a long history of conflict between the City of Cologne, the organiser Gemeinschaft Kölner Schausteller, and other parties.
In previous years, the Autumn Volksfest offered its classic programme: the distinctive 50-metre Jupiter Ferris Wheel, the Wild Mouse roller coaster, classic Volksfest rides, Family Day with half-price tickets, Rosa Montag, and the grand fireworks display over the Rhine promenade. In 2024, the event ran from October 26th to November 3rd.
The impact of the disputes on the Easter Kirmes 2026 and the Autumn Volksfest 2026 is not yet conclusively clarified — the funfair cooperative GKS is working on solutions; the date should be enquired about directly with the organiser.
