Overview

The Köferinger Kirwa 2025 traditionally took place on the last weekend of August on the sports grounds of SV Köfering. Four days of Upper Palatinate Kirchweih with Kirwabaum, 'Baumaustanzen', 'Kirwabärtreiben', a festive church service, 'Frühschoppen', and live bands. The local press (Onetz) once again reported that the Kirwa had attracted "masses of visitors". Organized by HKV Köfering and the Kirwaleit.

In 2025, the Köferinger Kirwa continued its long tradition, attracting masses of visitors to the sports grounds on the last weekend of August. Onetz again reported large crowds.

2025 Program

As usual, the Kirwabaum was erected on Saturday, followed on Sunday by a festive church service with a brass band, 'Frühschoppen', and the 'Ausstanzen des Kirwabaums' by the Kirwa couples. On Monday, the Kirwabär paraded through Köfering. Live bands and lively brass music provided entertainment in the marquee on all days. The Kirwa once again proved its role as a major social event in the Upper Palatinate.
