The 20th Kölner Lichter in 2025 featured a music-synced fireworks display on the Rhine. Hundreds of thousands of spectators watched the spectacle from both banks and from ships.
The anniversary edition 2025 — the 20th — confirmed the status of Kölner Lichter as Cologne's biggest summer event. The ship convoy, Stadtachter regatta, sea of smartphone lights, and fireworks display formed the established program.
