Three days of celebration with exclusive wine tasting, tractor pulling, and Mosel Riesling on the Moselvorland
Klüsserath is one of the oldest wine-growing villages on the Middle Mosel — the Klüsserather Bruderschaft e.V. has been organizing the wine festival for generations. It combines historical brotherhood tradition with modern wine culture and ensures that the weekend is more than just a folk festival: program highlights such as the exclusive wine tasting and the appearance of the Wine Queens make the festival a representative occasion for the Klüsserath vintners.
The format is proven: Friday, August 21st, from 7 p.m., opening with the tapping of the first barrel. Saturday, August 22nd, from 5 p.m., the exclusive wine tasting — the centerpiece and for many guests the real reason to travel. Sunday, August 23rd, from 11 a.m., family festival with morning pint, lunch, and the tractor pulling competition in the afternoon — a spectacle that also attracts non-wine fans.
The Klüsserath vintners present a carefully curated cross-section of current vintages in the exclusive wine tasting. Riesling from the Klüsserath vineyards Königsberg and Bruderschaft is the focus, complemented by Spätburgunder and Weißburgunder. The tasting is commented and offers insights into the style of the participating wineries. Limited places, early registration recommended.
Live music, traditional dances, and the appearance of the Wine Queens 2025/26 characterize the entire weekend. On the festival grounds in Moselvorland, the festival tent, wine stands, and stage program combine to create a Mosel weekend that aims for a broad audience mix — from wine connoisseurs to families from the surrounding administrative districts.
The festival committee of the Klüsserather Bruderschaft e.V. maintains the proven program structure in 2026. The exclusive wine tasting on Saturday remains the undisputed highlight, showcasing the Klüsserath wineries. The tractor pulling competition on Sunday provides a contrast and ensures a family-oriented program beyond wine.
Specific band lineups, tasting fees, and registration details for the exclusive wine tasting will be communicated via the official website.
