Overview

The Klassik Open Air in Fürth's Südstadtpark in 2025, like every year in early July, featured the youth symphony orchestra "Junge Fürther Streichhölzer" on the park stage of the Music School. In summer weather, the orchestra performed a program of classical, romantic, and film music for several hundred spectators who relaxed on blankets with picnic baskets on the lawn. Free admission.

In 2025, the Klassik Open Air once again attracted many families and classical music fans from Fürth, Nuremberg, and Erlangen to Südstadtpark with its accessible picnic format. The Junge Fürther Streichhölzer presented a diverse program, once again demonstrating that the youth music education at the Fürth Music School sets standards in the region.

The open-air event proved to be a popular summer fixture in Fürth's cultural calendar — with the typical mix of classical standards, film music arrangements, and popular operetta melodies, all set in a relaxed park atmosphere.
