Overview

The Klassik Open Air 2025 took place in August on Britzer See in the south of the Neukölln district. The Philharmonia Frankfurt, conducted by Yuri Gilbo, performed a classical program on the lake stage, framed by its iconic semicircle of meadows and slopes, concluding with the traditional grand fireworks display. One of Berlin's most popular summer concerts with a picnic atmosphere.

In 2025, the Klassik Open Air im Britzer Garten once again attracted thousands of Berliners and tourists to Britz in southern Neukölln. On an August evening, the Philharmonia Frankfurt, under the direction of chief conductor Yuri Gilbo, performed on the lake stage at Britzer See.

As in previous years, the program featured popular classical works from opera, concerts, and film music. The audience spread out with blankets, folding chairs, and picnic baskets on the meadows around the lake – an open, almost folk festival-like classical atmosphere that has characterized the concert for years.

The finale was once again a spectacular fireworks display, illuminating the lake and surrounding meadows. The concert was organized by Britzer Garten, managed by Grün Berlin. Tickets were available at prices around €28–€30, with the usual annual pass discount also applicable this season.
