Overview

The 5th edition of the Klanglandschaften Festival 2025 was themed „Human — Environment. In Harmony with Nature“. Three days of listening walks, sonic utopias, and discussions at locations within the Barnim Nature Park. The festival builds on a dense network of artist initiatives, the Nature Park Friends association, and municipal sponsorship.

The 5th edition of the Klanglandschaften Festival in summer 2025 demonstrated how New Music, sound art, and nature experience can be combined into a festival format that is rare in its kind. Three locations in the Barnim Nature Park became spaces for experience — from the old Hobrechtsfelde Granary to Katharinensee lake in Schildow, and on to Zühlsdorf.

The concept of the festival series — field recordings, land art installations, participatory sound works, and experimental performances — was again expanded in 2025 to include discourse formats. Discussions on the relationship between humans and nature, guided listening walks, and several sound installations shaped the perception of the landscape.
