Overview

The Kissinger Sommer 2025 took place from June 12 to July 13, continuing the almost 40-year tradition of the classical music festival in Bad Kissingen. Over 70 concerts with international soloists, orchestras, and chamber music ensembles in the historic venues of the UNESCO World Heritage spa town characterized the festival season in Lower Franconia.

The 39th edition of the Kissinger Sommer 2025 served as a dress rehearsal for the anniversary year 2026. The festival management presented a broad program ranging from grand symphony concerts to intimate chamber music and song recitals. The Regentenbau, with its acoustically exceptional Max Littmann Hall, was once again at the center of the concert programming.

With this edition, Bad Kissingen solidified its reputation as one of Germany's most important classical summer festivals and leveraged its UNESCO World Heritage status, awarded in 2021, as a cultural asset. The combination of spa town atmosphere and high-caliber concerts attracts audiences from all over Central Europe.
