Kirmes Heiligenroth

Westerwald Village Kirmes

The Kirmes Heiligenroth is one of the traditional summer kirmes of the Montabaur Municipal Association and is anchored in the official Kirmes calendar 2026 of the Montabaur VG (as of October 2025). It follows a long line of Westerwald kirmes dates that take place every weekend of the summer in different municipalities of the association, shaping rural festival life.

Four Days of Programme

From 5 June 2026 to 8 June 2026, the kirmes offers a classic Westerwald programme of festival tent opening with keg tapping, dance and disco evenings, Frühschoppen on Sunday with club participation, and a family afternoon with coffee, cake, and carousels. Food stalls, sweet shops, and drink stands complement the festival tent events.

Club and Village Life

The local clubs and the municipal council are the organisers of the kirmes, pooling their strengths for the joint summer festival. The fire brigade, sports clubs, music clubs, carnival associations, and youth groups participate in the programme and catering. This makes the kirmes more than just an amusement park: it is an expression of a vibrant village community and living tradition in the Westerwald.

Heiligenroth in the Westerwald District

Heiligenroth is part of the Montabaur Municipal Association in the Westerwald district, one of the most populous and densely populated municipal associations in the Westerwald.

Heiligenroth is located directly at Montabaur train station and is therefore easily accessible from the entire Westerwald district.
