Overview

In 2025, the Kirchweih Ziegelstein also took place in its typical two-part format on the festival grounds on Ziegelsteinstraße. As every year, the beer tapping on the first Friday evening marked the start of the festivities, which spanned two weekends with a beer tent, amusement rides, and market stalls.

The 2025 edition of Nuremberg's longest district Kirchweih followed the proven pattern: two festival weekends on the grounds at Ziegelsteinstraße, with a short weekday break in between. Organizer Ziegelsteiner Brauchtumsverein e.V. organized the amusement ride park with classic carousels, Kettenflieger, and Wellenflieger, along with the festival tent offering Franconian catering.

As in previous years, the Kärwabaum stood as a symbol of the ongoing festival on the grounds, visibly marking the festivities. The two-week duration is a special feature of the Ziegelsteiner Kärwa and clearly distinguishes it from most other Nuremberg district Kirchweihen, which typically last only one weekend.
