Overview
The Kirchweih at the Marienkirche Weiding 2025 was held on Saturday, October 11, organized by the Dalking-Gleißenberg parish community. A patronal service followed by a convivial gathering with parish coffee formed the framework of this small but deeply rooted community festival in the Cham district.
In 2025, the Dalking-Gleißenberg Parish Association again celebrated the Kirchweih at the Marienkirche Weiding in the traditional way: a festive service in the church consecrated in 1959/1960, followed by catering and a get-together.
For over 60 years, the Marienkirche has been Weiding's landmark — a rural, carefully maintained church in the border region of the Oberpfalz, whose patronal festival brings the village community together every October.
