Overview

The Kerwa Unsleben 2025 was celebrated in autumn, as every year, by the local clubs. Three days of tradition with a festive church service, Franconian cuisine, dancing, and socialising — the Franconian village Kerwa format that has shaped the Rhön-Grabfeld region for generations.

As is customary each year, the Kerwa 2025 was the social highlight of Unsleben. The parish community and clubs shared the programme tasks — festive church service, catering, live music, dancing. Many people who have moved away return every year for the Kerwa, which reinforces the family-like character of the festival.

The Hohe Rhön, with its mix of Protestant and Catholic traditions and Franconian and Thuringian influences, has a dense network of Kerwas — Unsleben is one of the many communities where the patron saint's day is still celebrated vibrantly.
