Overview

In 2025, Markt Presseck also celebrated its traditional Kirchweih in mid-October. As is customary in the Frankenwald, the three-day festival combined a festive church service, Franconian tavern cuisine, and lively dancing in the village. The regional tradition has been alive in Presseck for generations — the Kerwa remains the social anchor event of the year.

The 2025 Kerwa in Presseck followed the traditional pattern of Franconian Kirchweihen: a festive church service on Sunday, Frühschoppen with brass music, lunch from local cuisine, and a cozy get-together until the evening. The market's clubs — especially TSV and the shooting society — jointly organized the program.

The Franconian Kerwa is more than just a folk festival: it is both a homecoming and a festival of identity. Every Presseck family has its own rituals around the weekend — from attending church together to dancing in the evening.
