Kerwa Season 2025 in Ohrenbach

In 2025, the municipality of Ohrenbach once again confirmed its special status as a Franconian community with four independent village Kirchweihen. The Kerwa season was traditionally spread across summer and autumn, ending with the Oberscheckenbach Kirchweih from November 7th to 10th, 2025. The respective boys' and girls' associations, sports clubs, and parishes organized the four-day Kerwa schedule in the four districts, including a festive church service, raising of the Kärwabaum, procession, and festival tent evenings.

Mayor Johannes Hellenschmidt praised the Kerwa tradition in the press as an "reminder of the origins" of Franconian village life. The municipality of Ohrenbach in the western Ansbach district, on the edge of the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park, is thus one of the most vibrant centers of traditional customs in Middle Franconia.
