Overview

In 2025, the market town of Obernzenn also celebrated its main town Kirchweih over four days in early October. As usual, Sunday with the festival church service and Kirchweih parade attracted the most visitors, while the Kärwa boys and girls raised the Kirchweih tree on Friday and the festival tent in the town center served as their dance floor.

The Kirchweih Obernzenn 2025 followed the Central Franconian tradition: on Friday, the raising of the Kirchweih tree with the Kärwa boys and brass music, followed on the weekend by the full program with the festival tent, dancing, the festival church service on Sunday, and the grand Kirchweih parade with traditional costume groups and horse-drawn carriages. On Monday, the four days concluded with the classic Kärwa wind-down for clubs and seniors.

As every year, the district Kirchweihen in Egenhausen, Unteraltenbernheim, Rappenau/Straßenhof, Oberaltenbernheim, and Limbach complemented the market's festival calendar throughout late summer and autumn.
