Overview

In 2025, the Langwasser Kirchweih was also celebrated on the first weekend of August at the Langwasser-Süd festival grounds. As every year, the traditional parade on Sunday in front of the Franken-Center was the highlight of the four days of showmen and festival tent operations.

The 2025 Kirchweih followed the classic pattern of Nuremberg's district Kirchweihen: four days of showmen operations at the Langwasser-Süd festival grounds, a festival tent with daily changing dance bands, a family afternoon with discounted rides, and the parade on Sunday with brass bands and floats passing by the Franken-Center.

The Langwasser Kirchweih is one of Nuremberg's best-attended district Kirchweihen – directly accessible by subway line U1, embedded in the large southern Nuremberg area, with festival entertainment for all generations.
