Overview

In 2025, Illesheim once again celebrated its autumn Kirchweih at the end of October in its customary style. The village square on Kirchstraße became a festival mile with showmen, the procession paraded through the village on Sunday, and associations hosted festival evenings and coffee gatherings.

The 2025 Kerwa followed the long tradition of Illesheim's autumn Kirchweihen. As every year, Sunday, with its festival service and procession through the village, was the highlight. The showmen – traditionally families from the Bad Windsheim region – had set up carousels and stalls in the village square, and the inns hosted dancing during the festival evenings.

With the Schlachtschüssel by the Country Women to kick things off, Franconian bratwurst, beer from regional breweries, and the Kerwakuchen from the associations, the 2025 Kerwa remained what it should be: a village festival that thrives on the community itself.
