Overview

In 2025, Hemmersheim also celebrated its traditional Kirchweih in mid-November. The classic Kerwa program ran for four days: raising of the Kirchweih tree, inn evenings with Franconian delicacies, festive church service on Sunday, and the traditional 'Auspflanzen' on the festival Monday. The Kirchweih marked the end of the municipality's Kerwa season after Pfahlenheim and Lipprichhausen.

The 2025 Kerwa ran from November 14 to 17, following the established tradition in Hemmersheim for generations. The Kirchweih tree was erected by the Kirchweih boys on Saturday, the festive church service on Sunday drew the entire village community to the parish church, after which the inn filled up for lunch and afternoon coffee service.

As every year, the Kerwa celebrations in Hemmersheim complemented those in Lipprichhausen (one week prior) and Pfahlenheim (late October) to form a dense series of autumn festivals in the municipality – a true Franconian Kerwa landscape.
