Overview

In 2025, the Kirwaboum from Großgeschaidt also celebrated their traditional Kerwa in Markt Heroldsberg. Four festival days with beer tapping, raising of the Kerwabaum, tent church service, Frühschoppen, and Betznaustanzn brought together residents and guests from the Erlangen-Höchstadt district.

Kerwa 2025

The Kirchweih Großgeschaidt traditionally took place on the first weekend of July in 2025. The Kirwaboum from Großgeschaidt organized the four-day festival with a festival tent, the mayor's beer tapping on Friday evening, the raising of the Kerwabaum with the Kirwazwetschger dance on Saturday, a tent church service on Sunday morning, and the Betznaustanzn as an unwrapping dance on Monday evening. As always, residents, club members, and guests from neighboring towns mingled to form a lively testament to Franconian Kerwa tradition.
