Overview

The Kirchweih Gebsattel 2025 was celebrated as every year in mid/late September — from the Böllerschützen kickoff on Thursday evening to the convivial end of the festival on Sunday afternoon. Both inns served Schlachtschüssel from Thursday, on Saturday the Weißwurst-Frühschoppen took place at the sports grounds, and on Sunday the festive services in the Protestant and Catholic churches were the focus.

In 2025, the people of Gebsattel celebrated their Kerwa again according to the established four-day schedule. It was opened on Thursday evening by the Böllerschützen Gebsattel at Bahnhofweg, followed by the traditional Schlachtschüssel in both inns. Over the weekend, the Weißwurst-Frühschoppen at the sports grounds, the Kerwa program with the Catholic community, and activities of the Protestant parish shaped the events.

Mayor Elli Stammler emphasized in her address the importance of the Kerwa for “Gratitude, Encounter, and Cohesion” — three values that sustain the festival. The two inns are the social backbone of the village; the municipality explicitly appealed to visit and support them actively.
