Overview

In 2025, the Kirwaboum and Kirwamadla of Engelthal also celebrated their traditional Kärwa on a late June weekend. The parade, Kärwabaum, and Austanzen der Strauß were at the center of a classic Middle Franconian Kirchweih festival with Franconian catering and dance evenings in the tent.

The Engelthaler Kärwa 2025 took place, as usual, at the end of June and was organized by the Kirwaboum and Kirwamadla in cooperation with the parish and local associations. The focus was on erecting the Kärwabaum, the parade on Sunday, and the traditional Austanzen der Strauß on Kärwa Monday evening.

As in previous years, the event represented a social highlight of village life – with Franconian specialties, dance music, and a broad intergenerational audience. The overview of the Engelthaler Kärwa is regularly published in the annual booklet »Kirchweihen & Feste im Nürnberger Land«.
