Overview

The Effeltrich Kirchweih 2025 took place from July 18 to 21. As every year, the young men erected the Kerwabaum on Saturday, and 16 couples performed the Betzenaustanzen on Kerwamontag—a custom that brings the village together annually.

The Effeltrich Kirchweih 2025 ran for four days, following the traditional schedule. The "Burschenverein Zufriedenheit" organized the tree erection on Kerwasamstag (festival Saturday) and the Betzenaustanzen on Kerwamontag (festival Monday). Despite changeable weather, numerous visitors from the region and tourists found their way to the village around the centuries-old Tanzlinde.

The fortified Church of St. George was the venue for the festive service on Kirchweihsonntag (festival Sunday), and the Franconian traditional costumes of the dancing couples once again attracted numerous photographers and tradition enthusiasts.
