Overview

As is traditional, the Kirchweih Dampfach 2025 took place in October at the sports centre of DJK Dampfach 1961. For four days, the Wonfurt district celebrated its Franconian Kärwa with a parade, beer tapping ceremony, raising of the Kerwasbaum, a children's programme, Franconian specialities, and a home match for DJK Dampfach on Sunday. As in previous years, the Kirchweih attracted guests from neighbouring towns and the entire municipality of Wonfurt.

In 2025, the Kärwa Dampfach was once again the social highlight of the autumn in the district. DJK Dampfach 1961 organised the four-day festival through its customary voluntary club work. Parade and beer tapping ceremony for the opening on Friday, raising of the Kerwasbaum on Saturday, main celebration day with football match and festival meal on Sunday, and closing on Monday.

Club Life and Village Community

The club Kärwa once again brought the village community together at the sports centre. The traditional programme of Franconian snacks, live music, and sporting encounters builds on decades of practice by DJK and solidifies the Kirchweih Dampfach as a fixture in the Kärwa calendar of the Haßberge district.
