Overview

The 2025 Children's Festival took place in mid-June at the Prenzlau lido. Hundreds of families from the Uckermark experienced stage performances by kindergartens and after-school care centres, craft stands, games, and the popular raft building with the city forester. The weather cooperated: many children used the swimming area between programme items. The festival concluded with dancing and the traditional balloon launch on the shore of the Unteruckersee lake.

In the summer of 2025, the Prenzlau lido once again transformed into a family stage. Early in the morning, the children's facilities set up their stands, decorated tables with craft materials, and rehearsed the final choreographies for their performances. The mayor opened the festival with a short speech, and then the little ones took over the stage.

Throughout the day, dance groups, drumming ensembles, and theatre scenes alternated. In parallel, raft building with the city forester took place — one of the most popular activities, where families built floating constructions together from planks and barrels. In the afternoon, hundreds of colourful balloons rose over the Unteruckersee lake, a moving moment that traditionally concludes the festival.
