Overview

The 14th Children's and Youth Sports Games took place from June 14 to 16, 2024, in Brandenburg an der Havel as the main venue. Over 4,000 young people competed in more than 25 sports. Highlights included the water sports competitions on the Beetzsee regatta course, athletics at the Stadion am Quenzsee, and swimming at the Marienbad.

The 14th Games in 2024 once again demonstrated why Brandenburg an der Havel is a national center for youth sports. For three days, around 4,000 athletes were spread across the city's sports facilities and the external locations in Premnitz, Potsdam, and Frankfurt (Oder). Hundreds of young people competed in canoeing and rowing on the Beetzsee regatta course.

In the city area, boxing, judo, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, and many other sports took place concurrently. The opening ceremony and award ceremonies were attended by city officials. The event has established itself as a meeting and talent scouting platform — many clubs use the games to strengthen their youth structures.
