Melody evening with piano, cello, and vocals on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Kurhaus Manderscheid – presented by KiM – Kleinkunst in Manderscheid e.V.
The KiM Melody Evening is a concert experience in a small, personal setting – far from the hustle and bustle of concert halls, but with high artistic standards. Piano, cello, and vocals merge into a dialogical evening, ranging from romantic songs and salon music to chamber music gems.
The association Kleinkunst in Manderscheid e.V., abbreviated KiM, was founded to establish a sophisticated cultural program in the Eifel community of Manderscheid. Concerts, cabaret, readings, lieder, and comedy form the spectrum. The association consciously seeks encounters with small ensembles and solo artists who can reach their audience particularly directly in the intimate atmosphere of the Kurhaus.
Manderscheid, located in the Südeifel Nature Park between the two iconic castles Niederburg and Oberburg, has been an established climatic health resort since the 19th century. The Kurhaus and the adjacent spa park are the social center of the town and the starting point for numerous events.
During the Melody Evening, the artists will guide the audience through a program that focuses on melodic lines. Piano and cello form the sonic framework, and a vocal voice enhances individual pieces. Brief moderation contextualizes the works and provides biographical insights into composers and traditions.
KiM concerts are characterized by their focused listening situation: small audience, good acoustics, direct artist-audience connection. The events are an important component of the cultural offerings in the Vulkaneifel region.
With the Melody Evening, KiM continues its series of high-quality chamber concerts at the Kurhaus Manderscheid. The event offers a deliberately focused sound experience in a small hall – a format that has found a loyal audience in the Vulkaneifel region.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in spring. The structure follows the proven benchmarks of previous years:
