Overview

The 27th Kietzer Sommer on June 14, 2025, continued the long-standing tradition of the Köpenick neighbourhood festival. From 11 am to 10:30 pm, two stages — the main stage and the children's stage — animated the alleys of the historic Fischerkietz. A market mile, courtyard theatre, street music, and over 2,000 homemade Kietzwürste made the day a typical Köpenick summer experience, which concluded, as every year, with fireworks over the water. Free admission, supported by Kietzer Sommer e.V. and many volunteers from the neighbourhood.

The 2025 edition remained true to itself: a village-like neighbourhood festival with two stages, a market mile between the narrow historic alleys, courtyard theatre in the inner courtyards, children's theatre, street musicians, and stilt walkers. The homemade Kietzwürste were traded as usual — over 2,000 pieces in a single festival day — and the conclusion with fireworks over the water remained the atmospheric highlight. Political representatives from the Treptow-Köpenick district and the Berlin House of Representatives were present, as in previous years, also documented by reports from Member of Parliament Martin Sattelkau (MdA). The continuity of the event — supported by volunteer commitment and funding from the Kiez fund — remains the hallmark of this special Berlin summer festival.
