Overview

The 1st Kierspe Wine Festival in 2025 marked the premiere of the format in VolmeFreizeitPark. Over two festival days, vintners and wine merchants presented their wines from German wine-growing regions, along with Flammkuchen, cheese, and ham specialties. The response to the premiere convinced the city of Kierspe — the 2nd edition follows in 2026 with the same format.

The 2025 premiere established the Kierspe Wine Festival as a new summer event for the North Sauerland town. The choice of VolmeFreizeitPark as the venue proved successful — the park atmosphere on the Volme river offered a pleasant counterpoint to classic downtown wine festivals. Vintners from German wine-growing regions, complemented by a culinary program, created a relaxed summer weekend that justified its return in 2026.
