Edition 2025 — Kerwa Traindorf/Tannenwirtshaus
The Kerwa Traindorf and Tannenwirtshaus 2025 took place on the first weekend of September. A festive church service, Franconian specialties, and dancing characterized the joint double Kerwa of the two districts of the market town of Marktleugast – a quiet, authentically Franconian Kerwa in the Frankenwald.
The 2025 Kerwa proceeded in the established manner. Both districts set up their festival operations in parallel, with clubs and volunteers handling the catering. The festive church service on Kerwa Sunday and the dance event on Saturday evening were the central program points.
Like many smaller Upper Franconian village Kerwas, the event in Traindorf and Tannenwirtshaus remains primarily a local affair – locals and guests from neighboring towns make up the audience; it is not a mass tourist attraction. This is precisely what makes it appealing.
