Overview

The 2025 edition of Karschter Mittsommer took place on June 20 and 21 in the old town of Karlstadt am Main. For two days, the town festival was celebrated with a Swedish ceremonial guard, a parade, Mittsommerbier, and the party band Overdrive as the musical highlight on Saturday evening.

On Friday, June 20, 2025, the festival began with a children's program starting at 2 PM in the old town – face painting, craft activities, and readings for three- to six-year-olds – followed by the ceremonial entry of the Swedish guard in the early evening and concerts at three locations in the city center.

Saturday, June 21, featured a Midsummer breakfast starting at 10 AM, as well as children's activities like can toss and flower crown making. In the afternoon, the parade marched through Karlstadt's old town; the musical highlight of the evening was the party band Overdrive starting at 6:30 PM. The Retzbacher Spielmannszug (drum and bugle corps) accompanied the festival Sunday, along with Viking burgers, Schweden-Schoppen, and Mittsommerbier throughout the city center.
