Overview

The Karnevalsumzug Lünen-Süd 2025 paraded through the district on March 1st with a classic Ruhr Area carnival atmosphere. The Interessengemeinschaft Lünen-Süd organized the neighborhood festival with a classic route from the Schützenhaus via Jägerstraße and other neighborhood streets. Clubs, carnival societies, dance troupes, and music groups characterized the parade.

The Karnevalsumzug Lünen-Süd 2025 followed the traditional program line: Start at Schützenhaus Sedanstraße at 2:11 PM, then the route through the Lünen-Süd residential area with the classic sequence of stops (Bebelstraße, Jägerstraße, Heinestraße, Freiligrathstraße, Hoffmannstraße, Eichendorffstraße). The Interessengemeinschaft Lünen-Süd e.V. embodied the volunteer commitment that has made the parade a neighborhood highlight for years. Clubs, carnival societies, and dance troupes formed the parade; the subsequent carnival gathering at the Schützenhaus captivated the residents of Lünen until late in the evening. A typical Ruhr Area carnival format: small-scale, neighborly, with its own identity beyond the strongholds of Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Mainz.
