Overview

In the summer of 2025, the weekly guided tours of the Kap Arkona Naval Operations Bunker took place again on Wednesdays between 11 AM and 1 PM. The season ran from May to the end of August and attracted visitors from all over Germany who appreciated the interplay of the cliffside scenery and the military-historical learning site at the northern tip of Rügen.

The 2025 season continued the established Wednesday format, offering interested guests the opportunity to explore the former command post of the NVA Volksmarine on guided tours. The operations center, radio room, and original bunker equipment were explained, supplemented by background information on the role of Kap Arkona during the Cold War.

As in previous years, the tours were part of the seasonal cultural offerings at Kap Arkona and were organized in conjunction with the Viking festival, summer concerts, and other events by Tourismus GmbH Kap Arkona.
