Edition 2025 — Kaltnaggischer Weihnachtsmarkt
The 47th edition of the Kaltnaggischer Weihnachtsmarkt took place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM in and around the Protestant Kreuzkirche in Saarbrücken's Herrensohr district. Despite typical drizzle, the market once again attracted numerous visitors from across the entire region.
As usual, the event began with tower brass players from the Kreuzkirche's bell tower. At 2:00 PM, an ecumenical service opened the market, during which first-grade schoolchildren performed poems and musical pieces and were given gifts by St. Nicholas. The stalls offered bratwurst, tarte flambée, Dibbelabbes, crêpes, stick bread, mulled wine, children's punch, hot chocolate, and Feuerzangenbowle. Again in 2025, tickets for the Kaltnaggischer Adventskalender were sold, with proceeds going to social projects in the district.
