Overview
In 2025, the Bischofroda Volunteer Fire Brigade was supposed to celebrate its 140th anniversary. Due to the pandemic, the festival was postponed — a smaller summer festival took place, and the official anniversary program will be held in 2026 as '140 + 1 years'. The FFW Bischofroda and the Youth Fire Brigade shaped the community life of the rural municipality in the Wartburgkreis district.
Looking Back 2025 — Postponed Anniversary
Instead of the major anniversary program, the FFW Bischofroda celebrated a smaller summer festival in 2025 to bridge the gap until the main anniversary. Club life remained active: Youth Fire Brigade drills, operations, training. The festival committee began preparations for the official '140 + 1' celebration in 2026 as early as 2025.
